For a while now I’ve been trying to get photos of this space, but have such a hard time doing so. It’s always overrun with our life, which is a great thing really. There are a couple little updates since the last time I shared (very minor but they make such a difference to me).
If you’re a mom you can appreciate what it took to keep this space…
- Toy Free
- Child Free
- Dog Free
- Clean
- Styled (Cannot believe those flowers weren’t knocked over!)
….just long enough to photograph it while the light was decent.
Recently, I feel like I figured out a missing piece to this room that I’m pretty happy with. PINK. yup. I’ve resisted adding pink to my house because I share it with my 2 most favorite men, but adding little bits of dusty pink in just the right spots has really filled some negative space that had been bothering me. And you know, rose quartz is the Pantone color of 2016, soooo it’s totally meant to be.
So there you have it, my super fresh living room update tour. You better believe my coffee table took its rightful place as a train table as soon as I was done with these. And not to completely jinx myself, but those spray roses haven’t been knocked over yet! I know I’m pushing my luck, but does this mean that maybe I can keep a vase of flowers in here??
If you like any of the items you see here, a lot of them are linked at the bottom of this page. I also keep as many of my home decor items linked on my shop page at all times! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

i love how even though the wall is such a dark color, it looks so light and bright in here with the furniture and the frames. love that carpet, too.

Thank you so much! And yes, since I went with such a dark wall color I stuck with lighter furniture and accessories. It’s definitely a nice balance!

Do you know what the name/style of your sofa is?Im hoping maybe I can track one down online even though they don’t make it anymore – it’s perfect!!!

I don’t know the name of it (I purchased over 3 years ago) but I noticed that they replaced it with the Braden model (a bit more mid-century of a look). This one (linked here: http://rstyle.me/n/bidcc5sq2e) has been the closest I can find. The biggest difference is that the back cushions are removable, but the lines are essentially the same!
