Chances are we all won’t get to spend everyday at the beach, no matter how much we’d like to. One of the countless perks about a day spent at the beach are the effortless waves that form when your hair dries. You may have seen sea salt sprays for sale in stores, but this is one beauty product that you more than likely already have everything for in your kitchen.
You’ll need:
1/2 – 1 tbsp coconut oil
1/2 – 1 tbsp sea salt
lukewarm water
1 – 2 tbsp leave in detangling conditioner (optional)
empty spray bottle
The amount of salt and coconut oil you use will depend on how large your spray bottle is and how strong you want your spray to be. While the salt texturizes your hair, the coconut oil will moisturize it, and the warm water will help dissolve both. After you’ve added everything, shake for 1-2 minutes to combine the ingredients. Spray onto damp hair and let air dry. You can scrunch your hair or let it dry naturally. I prefer to spray it after washing my hair and letting it air dry, making sure to brush my hair before I wash it (not after!) to get great waves.

I love this! I’ve used the store bought stuff for awhile now and I’ve always wondered about making my own (if it worked, was expensive, etc.). This sounds so easy and like it would smell beachy. Perfect for summer! I will definitely have to try this!
