I almost thought we were going to go this whole winter without a snow storm. It was mid January and I still hadn’t used my Sorel snow boots (unheard of) or worn most of my favorite coats. Depending on where you were in Pittsburgh this weekend, you might have gotten just a sprinkle, or umm a foot-ish of snow. We were the latter.

This hooded parka I’m wearing was actually purchased from J.Crew Factory for a fraction of what the actual J.Crew one cost. It’s sold out, like a lot of winter items right now. However, I did find some pretty stunning similar coats that are on sale and I’m including them here. My boots are the Sorel for J.Crew ‘Joan of Arctic’ style and are my go to when I need something a bit heavy duty. I love wearing them with black leggings or my favorite jeans and long socks, get the marled grey crochet trimmed ones here.

So these pics were from Sunday and today the snow is already melted! YAY. I’ll take it. Honestly, this has been the mildest winter I could ever remember so I shouldn’t complain, but I am not a cold weather person despite having grown up in this sort of climate. Personally, I am counting down the days to my favorite season, spring! Sooo looking forward to flowers blooming and getting to work in my garden!
